The Doubt Factor

Doubt is often the “dirty little secret” that Christians don’t want to talk about or admit that they deal with. So what is doubt? Is it something to be “demonized” or is it something to be embraced? According to Scripture, it is neither. Doubt is the soil out of which faith grows. If we ignore [...]

Honesty. Compassion. Loyalty. Gratitude. Are these virtues still important? Have they been rejected or just forgotten? How can they become more integrated into our lives? Join us this weekend as we begin a new series and learn what we can do to restore these Forgotten Virtues.

Angry

Instead of getting angry about things that don’t matter, what if we started getting angry about the things that do matter—the things that make God angry? And what if we not only got angry about the things that make God angry, but we did something about it? Join us this week as we start a new 3 week series called Angry.

Margin

Overloaded? Maxed out? Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no margin. So we fill up our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We spend all that we have and acquire as much as we can, all in an effort to make the most out of life. Time – Balancing a Busy Life

Many of us are faced with decisions about how we want to spend the next year. We have to decide: What we want to do, vacations we want to go on, activities our kids want to do. You might be in the middle of a career change or searching for a new job. You have to make a number of choices of how you’re going to spend your time. It’s no wonder why we hear people say, “If I just had time! If I just had a few more hours in the day.” So, how do we maximize our time? How we make the most of it? How do we follow the examples of those before us who used their time well? Join us this weekend as we look at time and what really matters.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

Every year, sometime around Thanksgiving, Christmas music starts and doesn’t end until after new years. Some songs are silly, while others have meaning and purpose. This year we’re going to look at Christmas songs in a different light… what does the Bible say about what our attitude should be during this holiday time. Join us as we look at three popular songs and find the true meaning of Christmas.

GameTracker

With the rise of the Fantasy Football subculture, the fascination is no longer about one team or one game. Fantasy Football enthusiasts watch all the games, keeping track of all the players because each one has a direct impact on their fantasy team’s success. Join us as we look at Fantasy Football through the lens of scripture: looking at the team building process and how each team member’s unique gifts and passions contribute to the team’s ability to reach their goal.

Bling

There are over 2000 verses in the Bible that talk about “bling bling!” That is right. Jesus said more about money then He said about Heaven or Hell. Amazing. And guess what? He didn’t just say give all your money away. That would be silly. Instead, in the Bible God gives us a very understandable, well-rounded approach to handling money. And there has never been a better time to begin handling our money God’s way then right now.

A Better Than Perfect Christmas

In 1965 a half-hour Christmas show entitled A Charlie Brown Christmas first appeared on TV. Appointed director of the holiday school pageant, Charlie Brown ventures out with Linus to buy the perfect artificial Christmas tree. Instead they bring back a pathetic little tree…a real one. The whole experience leaves Charlie Brown feeling depressed and lonely…some of the same emotions that many of us feel as we navigate through the demands of a season driven by shopping, parties and expectations that often go unmet. Join us for a three-week series entitled “A Better Than Perfect Christmas” as we look at what it means to be real in a world preoccupied with the pursuit of perfection.
