8 Ways To Improve Your Life and the Lives of Others

At the start of a new year or new season of your life, it’s always good to stop and re-prioritize your life. Join us for 8 Ways to Improve Your Life and the Lives of Others as we look at what the Bible says about living a healthy life.

Getting This Christmas Right

Every January many of us experience something that could only be described as “Christmas remorse.” We go into the Christmas season saying, “It’s going to be different this year. I’m going to slow down. I’m going to stay within my budget. I’m going to focus on the real meaning of Christmas.” Then January comes and we are exhausted, feeling further away from God than we did before the Christmas season.

Stressed Out

We need to mind God’s business, not the business of others who would distract us from our divine purpose. Citing the blind man given sight by Jesus in John 9, we should focus on the divine resolution, rather than the miracle worked. The whys and inequalities of life aren’t important; what’s important is to be ready and able to do God’s work when called upon, to His glory. Resolve to turn away from distractions, such as procrastination, jealousy, addictions, pessimism, etc. which will “come out of the woodwork” to keep us from realizing the unique task He has carved out for each of us.

Facing Rejection

Were you a band geek in high school, or didn’t make the final cut for the team? Are you haunted by the pain of rejections? Secretly, down deep in your heart, are you afraid to love and that you don’t measure up and deserve God’s love?

The Apprentice

Discover your spiritual gifts and start serving in a way that makes sense for you. In this series, we look at spiritual gifts, passions and abilities and help you find a way to serve God the way you were wired. Try apprenticing a volunteer position for 6-weeks. After that, you can move on to another position if it’s not the best fit for you.
