Running With Giants

Join us for a three-week series as we look at the heroes of the faith that have gone before us. We’ll examine the life of Joseph who was blessed by a loving father, Rebekah who extended grace, and Moses who moved from safety to significance. Running with the giants will change your life.

Time - Balancing a Busy Life

Many of us are faced with decisions about how we want to spend the next year. We have to decide: What we want to do, vacations we want to go on, activities our kids want to do. You might be in the middle of a career change or searching for a new job. You have to make a number of choices of how you’re going to spend your time. It’s no wonder why we hear people say, “If I just had time! If I just had a few more hours in the day.” So, how do we maximize our time? How we make the most of it? How do we follow the examples of those before us who used their time well? Join us this weekend as we look at time and what really matters.

Hello My Name Is

Choices. We make a multitude of choices every day of our lives–from the coffee we order to the choices we make about how to raise our children. One way to realize the type of person we’ve become is to look at the choices we’ve made. When it comes to our relationship with God, what choices have we made in following Christ? What choices have been made for us?

Unreasonable

Webster’s dictionary defines unreasonable as: exceeding the bounds of reason or moderation. Unreasonable moves us from the safe and predictable to the risky and unexpected. Unreasonable is extravagant. It’s over the top. It’s outside the box. It’s more than we could ever imagine. Join us this weekend at Fairfax Community Church as we celebrate a God who exceeds the bounds of reason and moderation and invites us to live extravagant, exhilarating, unreasonable lives.

GameTracker

With the rise of the Fantasy Football subculture, the fascination is no longer about one team or one game. Fantasy Football enthusiasts watch all the games, keeping track of all the players because each one has a direct impact on their fantasy team’s success. Join us as we look at Fantasy Football through the lens of scripture: looking at the team building process and how each team member’s unique gifts and passions contribute to the team’s ability to reach their goal.

Catalyst

Talking about the Holy Spirit can make people nervous. The Holy Spirit and the Trinity can be confusing. And to make things more complicated, the Bible uses a number of different words for the Holy Spirit. So how to we make sense of all of this? What does it mean and how does it relate to our lives? Join us for this three-week series as we look at the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

In God We Trust

When it comes to trusting God, we all face barriers that can prevent us from trusting God as we should. Join us as we look at ways overcome these barriers and be trusting, obedient, gracious and generous in order to expand the church and the Kingdom of God.

Glow

We talk a lot about lives transformed, but what does that mean? What does a transformed life look like and how do we get there? It has to be more than the “life transformation” that is offered by the newest kitchen appliance or exercise machine. This weekend hear the stories of those who have been transformed, see them be baptized as a public announcement of their faith in Jesus, and party with them in the glowing result.

Going Deep

When it comes to your faith, are you hanging out in the shallow end of the pool? The Bible says that we are to grow to maturity in Christ. But what does that look like? The answer may surprise you. This weekend we’ll at what it really means to move beyond that which is shallow and to “go deep” in your faith.

Disconnected

Do you ever feel alone? Do you desire to have real relationships that you can share your life with? The reality is that we all long for these kind of friends. Join us for a new two-week series called “Disconnected” as we explore ways to get connected to others and build relationships.
