Monuments dominate the landscape of Washington D.C. They are a reminder of something or someone who was notable or great.
In our rapidly changing world, there are monumental issues that dominate our cultural landscape as well. We see them on the news. We talk about them with friends. Social media is flooded with a never-ending commentary about them.
In this series, we will take a closer look at what the Bible has to say about racism and the pursuit of justice, scientific advance and what it means to be created in the image of God, politics and the gospel, and sexual ethics. Culture’s view toward these issues is constantly changing and, at times, we struggle to find anchors in a sea of change. Does God have anything relevant to say about these important issues? Are there any timeless truths that can guide us and move us beyond merely reacting to shifting cultural norms?
