Anger is an emotion. Our response can be destructive or beneficial. On the destructive side, angry behavior is linked to isolation, heart disease, stroke, stomach diseases, and violent deaths. Some use angry behavior to control and manipulate. Some are addicted to the adrenaline rush. A beneficial response to anger is to look inwardly and identify the reason for it. Scripture provides advice on other beneficial ways to respond to anger. Be quick to listen and slow to speak. (James 1:19-20) Find healthy ways to express anger. (Prov 29:11) Let go of anger. (Prov 24:28-29).
