God invites us to ask for the gifts he already wants to give. But sometimes, in asking for God’s grace, we become blinded to God’s grace. We become so focused on what we are asking for that we can’t see what God is doing. We miss the constant expressions of his grace. When that happens, not only do gifts go unopened, often times we don’t even realize they are there. Paul experienced this in his own life. His desire for God to act in a particular way and within a particular timeframe blinded him to the grace that was there all along.
